How to Avoid a Roach Infestation
Updated: Mar 12, 2019
The Roach Epidemic
Roaches reproduce at an alarming rate, a single roach is capable of laying up to 50 eggs! They're scavengers by nature and have been known to consume hair, books and other decaying matter.
Timing is crucial when it comes to treatment for these unwanted guests. You might've noticed one or two roaches, but without proper pest control chances are there are lots more where those came from.
Getting rid of them with store bought insecticides will only help eliminate adult roaches but their next generation will be alive and thriving in no time.
What can you do?
Don’t attract more roaches. Simply remove food sources, keep the house clean, and close off openings and entrance points. They can live up to a month without food but only about a week without water, make sure to cut off any water sources they might find including leaks and puddled water.
